For me, visiting Lake Tahoe is like taking a pilgrimage to the heaven. This beautiful and quite hilly place attracts visitors from all over the world but it is only about 100 miles from my hometown Rocklin, California. If Rocklin were Chandigarh, Lake Tahoe is Shimla.
